Irregular monsoons over an extended period have resulted in frequent water scarcity for the agricultural sector. While prompt relief in times of scarcity must be provided, long-term measures to ensure prevention of such situations must be taken.
Government has decided to implement multiple programs for water conservation in an integrated manner with convergence across all the concerned departments. ”Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan” has been launched to make Maharashtra drought free by 2019. We aim to make five thousand villages drought free in the 1st year of the Abhiyan.

We look forward to getting your suggestions on how the program can be further enhanced and implemented successfully

We need to stop flood Irrigation for agriculture. For that micro Irrigation is the best option and we have great example of GGRC (GUJARAT GREEN REVOLUTION COMPANY LIMITED) which is doing the major role in micro irrigation in Gujrat. Maharashtra GOV. can implement plan like GGRC with making require changes for our state.

Government is working fine, give the JCB, Tractors direct to Grampanchayet. So they can create small pounds, small river deeply and state way. Its effective and low budget. Its own instruments so every year they can work for Jalsandharanprogram.

CSR fund should be used to implement the JALYUKTA SHIVAR in Mahrashtra. All the rivers should be worked to increase the depth of the river.
