Irregular monsoons over an extended period have resulted in frequent water scarcity for the agricultural sector. While prompt relief in times of scarcity must be provided, long-term measures to ensure prevention of such situations must be taken.
Government has decided to implement multiple programs for water conservation in an integrated manner with convergence across all the concerned departments. ”Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan” has been launched to make Maharashtra drought free by 2019. We aim to make five thousand villages drought free in the 1st year of the Abhiyan.

Recently high court ordered to move IPL matches out of Maharashtra as there is scarcity of water and these grounds need water for maintenance. As far as I know these grounds are maintained and watered over the entire year whether the matches are played or not.
We could also see plants and trees on road dividers being watered with clean water. I think such grounds and parks should be maintained using waste water instead of using clean water. This will prevent wastage of clean water.

It is observed in cities that even the interior roads are also have Foot paths being constructed with paver blocks / concrete in the name of development, which causes less exposure of earth/soil for percolation of water and thus increase in temperature. These foot paths are not needed at all since mostly encroached or used for parking. Hence should be made free from encroachment and should be used for tree plantation compulsorily. Actually footpaths are required in market area not in interiors.

त्यामुळे तेच पाणी पुन्हा वापरता येईल .
पाणी बरेच प्रमाणात वाचेल.
कायम स्वरूपाचे उपाय वर भर द्यावा.
येत्या वर्षातही पाणी वाचवायचे असल्यास

The governemt of maharashtra must should undertand that how many years it will spend on drought migration people n farmers. Spend 75% of budget on measures like plantng tree or making favourable climate for monsoon. Because only spending on migration is not final measure

I do not understand why farmers have to pay for drought. He is not at all responsible for climate change . Govt must take very high measures against builders or other who are responsible for depletion of forest. Or industries who makes pollution. And there punishmnt must me to pay the loan of farmers in the their area where the are polluting or depleting forest
