Irregular monsoons over an extended period have resulted in frequent water scarcity for the agricultural sector. While prompt relief in times of scarcity must be provided, long-term measures to ensure prevention of such situations must be taken.
Government has decided to implement multiple programs for water conservation in an integrated manner with convergence across all the concerned departments. ”Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan” has been launched to make Maharashtra drought free by 2019. We aim to make five thousand villages drought free in the 1st year of the Abhiyan.

We look forward to getting your suggestions on how the program can be further enhanced and implemented successfully

continued..... So, instead of evaporating, this will cause to raise the underground water level in a huge in nearby areas. This water will flow in downward direction of the dam. I think that it can be found in nearby areas in the form of lake or .... They can utilize this water. SO, in short we can burry water inside the soil as per our need in the presence of taps. We can take this boars at 200 into 200 mt. But for this we require so flexible system that can easily open taps.

Sir, TO Increase the underground water level ...... I TEJAS,
We can take deep boars inside any dam on its ground floor at small distances and will burry PVC pipes deep into the soil. In such a way that the opposite tip of the pipe will be projected outside, above the ground level at some height. This will let the water to flow underground. We may do the provision of taps to open and close the mouth of this pipes. We will require flexible sys. that can open or close mouth of the pipes.

In my Village Jadarbabalad, Taluka Jath District Sangli at present we are facing acute shortage of drinking water. We are facing this problem from last so many years. Our agriculture is totally depends on rain. We have one Vodha (Nala) near our village (west side ). In earlier years there plenty of water. But now a days it is full of mud etc. If we all make this Vodha clear and deepen & construct bandhara, we can store rain water and plenty of water to nearby wells. Pl look & help us.

1) Govt should take help of Water Man of India. Details in the below link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajendra_Singh
2) Encourage people to go for rain water harvesting.
3) Mainly in drought area, all railway stations roof water can be stored / rain harvested during rainy season.
4) Atleast one coach of water should be attached to all trains which runs through drought hit areas and that coach can be detached for unloading water and returned back to the origin.
