19. Allow tickets to be purchased through mobile apps to avoid long queues
20. Encourage public transport and car pooling.. Create fast track lanes for a full car as against cars with just one passenger
21. Narrowing of roads at junctions should be broadened by land acquisition.

Infrastructure in Mumbai
14. Cable cars can be an alternate
15. Create underground subways
16. Improve local trains infrastructure. a/c trains , buses and taxis that more people are encouraged to take public transport in 40 degree heat.
17. Let private sector adopt local stations to change the look and feel there and advertise as they choose but provide superb infrastructure like toilets, water, cafeteria and wifi at all stations
8. One prepaid card for all public services (rail, bus, taxi)

13. Quality of roads and contractors needs to be overhauled... whether there are potholes in roads or roads between potholes.. blacklist such contractors.. give contracts to reputed companies like L&T etc for quality roads.. We should do away with concept of awarding to L1 contractors as it turns out to be expensive indirectly! !

10.Every license should be linked to cars. Hence any car violating should be sent automated challan. If fine not cleared then insurance cannot be renewed & they should be anyways hauled up..
11. Signals are not working at several important junctions necessitating traffic police to manually stop traffic causing high probability of accidents
12. Create a no honking culture ! Deafness would otherwise be a norm for our next generation

7. Stringent driving laws.. Autos, bus and taxi pickup customers from second lane, few areas in Mumbai(kurla etc) are a law to themselves (encroach public spaces), disrespect for signal and Jaywalking are big issues
8. Every yr insurance renewal & traffic violations should be linked.. More violation more the premium
9. CCTV/speed guns should be used for traffic violations and challan issuance should be automated eliminating corruption. Allow online payment directly to govt(via paytm etc)

More Short term solutions:
4. Autos and 2 wheelers to drive in first lane only
5. Create footbridges at major signals so that vehicular traffic can pass for long time.. With escalator / slopes for elder and disabled
6. local trains to have 15 coaches to carry more people and increase length of platform as well.. increase frequency at peak hours by reducing gap between 2 trains to only a minute..

For 'Make in Maharashtra' to be successful we need to improve Mumbai infrastructure & traffic woes :
Short term solutions
1. All heavy vehicles (trucks,dumpers, etc) through out Mumbai should be allowed only between 8 pm to 8am
2. Immediately commission hovercrafts and boats (Western & Harbour line side). take advantage of being an island.
3. Acquire land in congested areas to create parking spaces (vertical buildings to save space). This will automatically widen roads and ease traffic..

I from Maharashtra, may I requested as previous day the Bihar Government make rule for ( desi daru/ videsi) stop at all places, this rule also made for Maharashtra . it is very nessesary .......!

खरच केंद्रीय कर्मचार्यांना सातवा वेतन आयोग लागू करण्याची गरज आहे का ? हे तपासून पाहावे ,कारण त्यांना किमान वेतन २००००/- असताना आणखी किती वाढवून देत ? त्या वाधीचाच पेशात नवीन मुल भारती करा आणि performance बेस वर वेतन द्या , मग बघा कसे काम लवकर मार्गी लागतील ते, कंपनी मध्ये काम करणार्या कामगाराला जर काही सरकारी ऑफिस मध्ये काम असेल तर त्याला सुट्टी मारावी लागते पण जर का सरकारी ऑफिस २ शिफ्ट मध्ये चालू असेल तर किती मदत होईल . pls सरकारी कर्मचार्यांचे लाड कमी करा व सातवा वेतन आयोगात वाढ देण्या एवजी आ
