Irregular monsoons over an extended period have resulted in frequent water scarcity for the agricultural sector. While prompt relief in times of scarcity must be provided, long-term measures to ensure prevention of such situations must be taken.
Government has decided to implement multiple programs for water conservation in an integrated manner with convergence across all the concerned departments. ”Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan” has been launched to make Maharashtra drought free by 2019. We aim to make five thousand villages drought free in the 1st year of the Abhiyan.

We look forward to getting your suggestions on how the program can be further enhanced and implemented successfully

Do not understand so much money is being spent yet we reply only on rain to fulfil our needs. Y dont we have Dams Ponds wells to make sure that if we do not have rains we have some back up. I am ready to take care of farmers, scarcity of water can easily be settled with proper management in just few yrs. 1000's of crores Rs are spent yet we cry that their is no water. shame on us.

Population control is the solution for Scarcity and all other problems. nobody is allowed more than two childrens. "Saman Nagari Kayada" should be done
singh.sushant03@gmail.com 9 years 4 months ago
1) space under flyovers should be given for citizen parks for walking & cycling
2) scarcity of children's play area is causing great worry as children have to watch TV out of compulsion
3) heavy vehicles should not be allowed in city during day time
4) cctv & noise level monitoring tool should be installed in hsg soc and local police station should be accountable for any breach...
5) celebrate no honking days every month
singh.sushant03@gmail.com 9 years 4 months ago
1)there should be a project department under direct supervision of CM who can sychronize various activities carried out by different government bodies with least inconvenience to citizens... Eg one road in lower parel was digged for mono rail const last year which is again digged for laying water pipes which has resulted in traffic jams...
2) cluster redevelopment proposals should be approved first by govt. than single proposals as this will ensure open space availability.
