Irregular monsoons over an extended period have resulted in frequent water scarcity for the agricultural sector. While prompt relief in times of scarcity must be provided, long-term measures to ensure prevention of such situations must be taken.
Government has decided to implement multiple programs for water conservation in an integrated manner with convergence across all the concerned departments. ”Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan” has been launched to make Maharashtra drought free by 2019. We aim to make five thousand villages drought free in the 1st year of the Abhiyan.

Sir, Firstly, our ongoing major Irrigation projects are not proceeding as per scheduled completion plan. Many of the Irrigation projects are delayed by 10-20 years. Please priorities the projects which are already completed more than 70% so that, the benefits will start at the earliest. Secondly, we are just treating about 50% sewerage. Balance sewage is just left to Nallas/ Rivers. Please look in to treatment of sewerage. Thirdly, we have to make arrangements for using treated sewerage.

this money of our country for the "MARATHWADA" M.H. region by which they can atleast live a happy life and after this we can't going to lose a precious life of our farmers as from there hard work only all country persons getting food in time but no one is able to do a single thing for them. possible things to fulfill your demands but i don't think its happening because all the peoples of that region are daily saying we are working very hard to get water and they are travelling k.m.'s to get a bucket of water.
