Irregular monsoons over an extended period have resulted in frequent water scarcity for the agricultural sector. While prompt relief in times of scarcity must be provided, long-term measures to ensure prevention of such situations must be taken.
Government has decided to implement multiple programs for water conservation in an integrated manner with convergence across all the concerned departments. ”Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan” has been launched to make Maharashtra drought free by 2019. We aim to make five thousand villages drought free in the 1st year of the Abhiyan.

We look forward to getting your suggestions on how the program can be further enhanced and implemented successfully

Sir,
Recently there was a discussions about BAN on using water for IPL matches. However as per BCCI Representative around 100 Crs revenue loss is their if the matches are shifted out side Maharahstra. Hence, t Maharashtra Government propose following to BCCI.(1) As the sea water is available plenty, BCCI should invest in 'Desalination water Plant' of suitable capacity for purification of sea water without scarifying on 100 Crs revenue.ownership with M.S.rest of the yr plant is available .

Dear Sir,Though this seems to be good initiative,I do not find any action taken on suggestions given in this forum. Leave alone action, nobody seems to be going thorugh these suggestions. What is use of big initiative if it not being followed regularly. Our collegues have developed water ATM which can produce potable water from any source of water.I believe it can very useful in drought affecetd areas. If any govt official is reading this , plse contact me on 9920990635or kiran_chau@rediffmail.com

We as citizen also ready to contribute in any which way as authority suggest to make our city clean . Let us initiate close to the rail stations which will have great impact to general public .

Sir ,
An appeal to make our Mumbai clean .Suggestions:
Areas to first select is fish market and close to our suburban rails both are very close to our stations and most of the time stinking .
Suggestions : Let health inspectors and Bmc/Tmc officials visit fish market every day and educate the vendors to collect the waste in a plastic bag or basket and end of the each day muncipity must come and collect it . Close to railways slums we must give sufficient toilets so that they don't go open.

I hope all the above people will be contacted by Maharashtra government, and their help/guidance will be sought to reduce issues related to water in Maharashtra. Also, it would be great if you implement all of the above suggestions. This is my small contribution from knowledge/information viewpoint for improving quality of life of my fellow Maharashtrians.
Thank You
